Harbhajan’s Double Standards: What Did He Do In Abu Dhabi That Made Him Get Trolled On Social Media?

Abu Dhabi: India’s former off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who has won many matches for the country, had a few months ago led the boycott of a Legends League match against Pakistan. But on Wednesday, after a match in Abu Dhabi, he shook hands with a Pakistani cricketer — something that many Indian cricket fans did not like at all.

In the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament, Harbhajan is playing for the U.S. Spartans (Asprin Stallions), while Pakistan’s fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani is playing for Northern Warriors.

On Wednesday, a thrilling 10-over-a-side match was played between the two teams, in which Northern Warriors won by four runs. Harbhajan Singh was run out while taking a single on the last ball of the match, resulting in a defeat for the Spartans.

However, as the players were walking back after the match, Harbhajan Singh was seen smiling and shaking hands with Pakistani fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani. The video of this “controversial handshake” has gone viral.

Bhajji bowled one over in the match, gave away eight runs, and did not take a wicket. Dahani bowled the final over, took two wickets, and successfully defended eight runs.

Harbhajan Singh had opposed playing against Pakistan in the Legends League, and now he is seen smiling and shaking hands with a Pakistani player — something Indian cricket fans did not appreciate. A cricket fan named Ather wrote on X, sharing the video:
“Where has the patriotism of Indians gone now?”
