Emotional Post Works For Prithvi Shaw, Got Result In 7 Minutes

New Delhi: After emotional moments during the IPL Mini Auction, good news finally arrived for Prithvi Shaw. When no franchise showed interest in him in the first two rounds, a disappointed Shaw posted an emotional Instagram story saying “It’s okay” along with a broken-heart emoji. That very post, however, turned out to be the turning point of his comeback.

Just seven minutes later, Delhi Capitals (DC) picked Prithvi Shaw in the third round at his base price of ₹75 lakh. Soon after being bought, Shaw deleted his earlier story and shared a cheerful post saying “God’s Plan.” He wrote, “I am back with my family,” and posted an old photo with DC captain Axar Patel along with a “welcome back” message.

DC co-owner Kiran Kumar Grandhi said in an interview, “Every player’s career has ups and downs. This time, we have given Prithvi an opportunity to make a strong comeback. I am personally eager to see him play again in the Delhi jersey. I hope he takes this opportunity seriously and gives his all for the team.”
