CSK Vs RCB: CSK 75/4 In 12 Overs As Rachin Ravindra, Shivam Dube Fight Hard

Rachin Ravindra inches towards his half-century but four-down CSK are struggling in the chase of 197 vs RCB at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Pacer Josh Hazlewood dismissed Rahul Tripathi and Ruturaj Gaikwad in one over while Bhuvneshwar Kumar removed Deepak Hooda. Earlier, Rajat Patidar top-scored with 51 runs off 32 balls as RCB posted 196 for 7 in 20 overs after getting an invitation to bat first. Phil Salt (32 off 16) and Devdutt Padikkal (27 off 14) also played crucial knocks.
Tim David’s cameo (22 not out off 8, which included a hat-trick of sixes) towards the end also helped RCB’s cause. For CSK, Noor Ahmad was pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 36. Matheesha Pathirana also scalped two wickets. This is sensational bowling from Suyash Sharma. The youngster has hardly given any opportunities to the batter to attack him and CSK are really struggling to score quickly with the run rate growing rapidly. Both Rachin Ravindra and Shivam Dube have failed to score big constantly and this can be game over for the hosts if they cannot accelarate quickly.
This run chase is getting tougher with every over for Chennai Super Kings. Shivam Dube tried to go for the big shot on couple of occasions but just one boundary off Yash Dayal. With the required run rate creeping slowly, it will need a herculean effort from one or two of the CSK batters if they want to win this match. 12 runs came off Suyash Sharma’s second over. Shivam Dube slammed him for a six and a four in the over. Chennai Super Kings need 132 runs in 60 balls. It is tough but gettable, especially with Rachin Ravindra and Shivam Dube at the crease.
Sam Curran is OUT! Liam Livingstone gave it flight and Curran ended up hitting it high in the air and Krunal Pandya took the catch quite comfortably at long-on. Chennai Super Kings are four down. They need 145 runs in 67 balls.
