Gujarat Titans opener Sai Sudharsan was dismissed in unusual fashion during the IPL 2026 Qualifier 1 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Dharamshala on Tuesday (May 26), falling hit-wicket off Jacob Duffy’s bowling.
Sudharsan was attempting an attacking shot during GT’s run chase when he lost control of his bat mid-shot. The bat slipped from his hands, swung back, and struck the stumps, resulting in a hit-wicket dismissal. The ball from the same delivery raced to the boundary.

Sudharsan had looked in good touch before the dismissal, scoring 14 runs off 9 balls with three boundaries. The wicket handed RCB a significant breakthrough in the playoff clash.
