DL vs SRH: Shami Laid the Foundation, Pant Seals Lucknow’s First Win

Hyderabad: In an IPL 2026 clash on Sunday, a magical bowling spell from Mohammed Shami (4-0-9-2) followed by a captain’s knock from Rishabh Pant (68 off 50 balls)* guided Lucknow Super Giants to a thrilling victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad. Pant’s Captain’s Knock Powers the Chase

Opener Aiden Markram (45 off 27 balls) gave Lucknow a solid start, adding 37 runs with Mitchell Marsh (14). He then shared a 40-run partnership with Pant for the second wicket.

After Markram fell at 77, Pant took charge of the innings, batting responsibly and stitching together a few crucial partnerships to guide his team home.

Ayush Badoni (12) and Abdul Samad (16) provided useful support, while Mukul Choudhary remained unbeaten alongside Pant till the end.

For Hyderabad, Harsh Dubey picked up two wickets, while Eshan Malinga and Shivang Kumar claimed one each.

Shami’s Early Strikes Rock Hyderabad

Klaasen–Nitish Stand Rescues SRH

A remarkable partnership between Heinrich Klaasen (62 off 41 balls) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (56 off 33 balls) brought Hyderabad back into the game. The duo added 116 runs for the fifth wicket, taking the total to 142 by the 18th over.

Apart from Livingstone’s 14, the rest of the batting lineup failed to reach double figures.

Lucknow Bowlers Dominate
