Team India has handed debuts to seamer Prince Yadav and all-rounder Suryansh Shedge against Ireland in the second and decisive T20I, but there is still no place for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. As Team India prepares for the must-win game in Belfast, captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Shedge is making his full international debut, while Yadav who has previously represented India in ODIs is playing his maiden T20I. It is 513 days since India last handed a T20I debut, to Harshit Rana in January 2025, and two new faces will now don the Indian jersey in the shortest format. The wait to see Vaibhav in Indian colours continues.
