
Bengaluru, March 26 The Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory ahead of two IPL 2026 matches at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28, and RCB vs Chennai Super Kings on April 5. The advisory covers parking restrictions, designated parking zones, gate assignments, and cab pickup and drop points.
No-Parking Zones Near the Stadium
Several major roads around the stadium will be off-limits for parking on match days. Vehicles found parked in these areas are liable to be fined or towed.
The restricted roads are: Queens Road from Balekundri Circle to CTO Junction; MG Road from Anil Kumble Circle to Queens Circle; Link Road between MG Road and Cubbon Road; Cubbon Road and its nearby junctions; St. Mark’s Road and Museum Road; Kasturba Road and Central Street; Lavelle Road and Vittal Mallya Road; and roads inside Cubbon Park, including King Road, the Press Club area, and Fountain Road.

Where to Park
The traffic police have designated six parking locations for match-goers: St. Joseph’s Indian High School Ground at Siddalingaiah Circle; St. Joseph’s European School Ground on Museum Road; Freedom Park MLCP; Garuda Mall Parking; UB City Parking; and Shivajinagar TTMC, first floor.
Stadium Entry and Exit Gates
Entry to the stadium is through multiple gates depending on which side you are approaching from. Gates E-1 to E-3 serve general entry. Gates E-18, E-19, E-22, and E-23 are on the Cubbon Road side. Gates E-11 to E-17 cover the Link Road side, while Gates E-05 and E-08 are on Queens Road.
Exit is through Gates E-09 and E-9A. Gate E-10 is reserved exclusively for players, officials, and VIPs.
Cab and Auto Users
For those using Ola, Uber, or autos, pickup points are at BRV Ground and Manekshaw Parade Ground. Drop-offs are near Gate No. 06 and Gate No. 03. The police have asked passengers to use only these designated points.
Use Public Transport
The traffic police have urged spectators to take BMTC buses or metro services to the stadium wherever possible, to keep traffic around Chinnaswamy manageable on match days.
