BCCI Naman Awards 2026: Rahul Dravid, Roger Binny And Mithali Raj To Receive Lifetime Achievement Honours

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will honour three iconic figures of Indian cricket Roger Binny, Rahul Dravid and Mithali Raj with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the Naman Awards 2026, scheduled to take place in New Delhi on March 15. The annual ceremony recognises exceptional performances and long-standing contributions across international, domestic and age-group cricket.
According to the BCCI, former India captain and head coach Rahul Dravid and former BCCI president Roger Binny will receive the prestigious Col. C. K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award, the board’s highest honour for outstanding service to Indian cricket.
Dravid is widely regarded as one of India’s greatest batters and has made immense contributions to the sport both as a player and a coach. Over the course of his international career, he scored more than 24,000 runs across formats and later played a significant role in shaping the next generation of cricketers through coaching roles with India A, the Under-19 team and the senior national side.

Roger Binny, a key member of India’s historic 1983 Cricket World Cup-winning team, also made major contributions to Indian cricket beyond his playing days. The former all-rounder represented India in Tests and One-Day Internationals and later served in several administrative roles, including as president of the BCCI.
Meanwhile, legendary cricketer Mithali Raj will receive the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for Women in recognition of her extraordinary role in advancing women’s cricket in India. Raj, one of the most accomplished players in the history of the women’s game, captained India for several years and remains among the highest run-scorers in international women’s cricket.
The Naman Awards, introduced by the BCCI to celebrate excellence in the sport, honour outstanding achievements across different levels of Indian cricket. The ceremony also acknowledges individuals whose dedication has played a key role in strengthening the game’s growth and reputation in the country.
The 2026 edition of the awards is expected to bring together players, administrators and officials from across the cricketing community as the BCCI recognises both contemporary achievements and the enduring legacy of some of India’s most influential cricketing personalities.
