Mirpur: After Bangladesh defeated Pakistan in a Test match on home soil for the first time on Tuesday, Bangladeshi cricketer Mominul Haque celebrated the historic victory by riding a scooter on the field.
Mominul had senior teammate and close friend Mushfiqur Rahim seated behind him as the two entertained spectators with a scooter ride around the Mirpur ground, adding to Pakistan’s disappointment after the defeat.
On the fifth and final day on Tuesday, Pakistan were bowled out for just 163 while chasing a target of 268 runs. Bangladesh’s 23-year-old fast bowler Nahid Rana destroyed Pakistan’s hopes with a brilliant five-wicket haul, conceding only 40 runs.
