Akshaya Tritiya, commonly called Akha Teej, ranks among the most sacred festivals observed by Hindus and Jains alike. Falling on the third day of the bright lunar fortnight (Shukla Paksha) in the month of Vaishakha, the occasion is deeply associated with unending good fortune, abundance, and promising fresh starts. The Sanskrit word “Akshaya” signifies that which never diminishes or ends, reinforcing the widespread conviction that any positive actions, religious ceremonies, or important initiatives undertaken on this day will deliver permanent and multiplying rewards.
