A 26-year-old student from Hyderabad, identified as Chandrashekar Pole, was fatally shot by unidentified assailants in Dallas, United States, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA T Harish Rao said on Saturday.
Rao shared that Pole had completed his Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery (BDS) before moving to Dallas for higher education. “The grief of the parents, who dreamed of their son achieving great success, is unimaginable. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family,” the MLA wrote on X after visiting them.
Rao also urged the Telangana government to take immediate steps to bring back the student’s mortal remains.
According to reports, the incident took place on Friday night when Pole was working at a gas station. He had relocated to the US in 2023, completed his master’s degree six months ago, and was seeking a full-time job while working part-time at the gas station where the shooting occurred.
