BJP’s Strategic Move: CP Radhakrishnan Emerges as NDA Candidate for Vice President

In a key move, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) revealed on Sunday that Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan will be the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) nominee for Vice President. The selection emerged from a BJP Parliamentary Board meeting convened specifically to settle on the candidate for the upcoming Vice Presidential poll.

Chandrapuram Ponnuswamy Radhakrishnan entered the world on October 20, 1957, in Tiruppur, located in Tamil Nadu.

Throughout his political career, Radhakrishnan has occupied various significant roles. He assumed the governorship of Maharashtra on July 31, 2024. Before that, he was Governor of Jharkhand from February 18, 2023, until July 30, 2024. Additionally, he managed interim duties as Governor of Telangana between March and July 2024, and as Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry from March to August 2024.
