Mumbai: The Western Railway will undertake a night-time Jumbo Block between Vasai Road and Bhayandar stations this weekend to carry out essential maintenance work on tracks, signaling systems, and overhead equipment.
According to Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Vineet Abhishek, the block on the UP fast line will be in effect from 11:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., while the Down fast line will remain closed from 1:15 a.m. to 4:45 a.m. during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, i.e., October 25–26, 2025.
During this period, all fast trains will operate on slow lines between Virar and Bhayandar/Borivali. Commuters are advised to check with station authorities for detailed cancellation updates, as a few UP and DOWN suburban services are expected to remain suspended during the maintenance window.
The Western Railway clarified that there will be no day-time Jumbo Block across its suburban section on Sunday, October 26, ensuring regular train operations during daylight hours.
