Mumbai Local Train Night Maintenance to Disrupt Fast Line Services

Western Railway has scheduled a four-hour jumbo block this weekend to conduct essential maintenance work on its suburban network. The maintenance, set for the night of May 3-4, will affect the Up and Down Fast lines between Mumbai Central and Mahim stations from 12:15 a.m. to 4:15 a.m.
The work will focus on maintaining tracks, signaling systems, and overhead equipment, ensuring the safety and reliability of the railway infrastructure. During this period, all Fast line trains will be diverted to operate on the Slow lines between Santacruz and Churchgate stations, as confirmed by Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway.
Commuters are advised to check with station masters for detailed schedules, as no daytime block is planned for Sunday, May 4, 2025. Western Railway emphasized that this nighttime operation aims to minimize disruption to regular daytime services.
