Mumbai Braces for Light Showers Today, IMD Forecasts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rainfall for Mumbai on Saturday, offering a brief respite from the city’s usual hustle. According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy with chances of light showers throughout the day. Temperatures are forecasted to hover between a high of 34°C and a low of 27°C, with humidity levels likely to stay elevated due to the coastal climate.

The IMD also noted that the southwest monsoon, which typically brings heavier rainfall to the region, is progressing normally and could reach Mumbai in the coming weeks. For now, residents can expect mild precipitation, potentially easing the heat but not significantly disrupting daily activities. The forecast aligns with seasonal patterns, as Mumbai transitions into its pre-monsoon phase.

Local authorities have advised residents to stay updated on weather conditions, particularly in low-lying areas prone to waterlogging during heavier rains. The IMD will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as needed.
