Mumbai Rains Bring Relief As Several Areas Receive Moderate Showers, AQI Stays In Good Category

Mumbai: Mumbai woke up to a rainy and cloudy morning as several parts of the city witnessed moderate showers on Wednesday. Areas including South Mumbai, Bandra, Mulund and Mira Road experienced rainfall during the early hours, bringing relief from the humid weather conditions.

According to reports, intermittent showers were recorded across multiple neighbourhoods, while commuters navigated wet roads and overcast skies during the morning rush hour.

Rainfall Reported Across Key Areas

Several locations in South Mumbai, commonly referred to as SoBo, along with Bandra, Mulund and Mira Road, received moderate rainfall. The showers were accompanied by cloudy weather conditions across the city and nearby suburbs.

The rainfall also contributed to a slight dip in temperatures, offering relief to residents after days of warm and humid weather.

AQI Remains In Good Category

Despite the rainfall activity, Mumbai’s air quality continued to remain in the “good” category. AQI levels across the city stayed within a healthy range, indicating cleaner air conditions following the showers.

The rain helped reduce dust particles and pollutants in the atmosphere, resulting in improved air quality in several parts of the city.

Weather Department Forecast

As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai is expected to witness cloudy skies with chances of additional rainfall during the day. Weather officials have predicted light to moderate showers in isolated areas across the city and suburbs.
