Mumbai To Get Mega Cricket Stadium Like Ahmedabad, 1 Lakh Fans To Enjoy Matches Together

Mumbai: A massive cricket stadium with a seating capacity of 100,000 spectators is set to be developed in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). In this regard, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) President Ajinkya Naik recently met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other top state officials to discuss a roadmap for accelerating the project’s development.

The ambitious project is likely to come up in Navi Mumbai and is expected to be undertaken under the leadership of the state government. Naik also held discussions with CIDCO Managing Director Vijay Singhal and other senior officials regarding the execution of this mega infrastructure project.

Earlier, there were also discussions about constructing the stadium in the heart of Mumbai. Notably, Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium has a seating capacity of 132,000 spectators, while Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium can accommodate just over 33,000 fans.
