Mumbai Local Train Update: Central Railway Plans Mega Block on March 16

The Central Railway’s Mumbai Division has scheduled a Mega Block on its suburban sections for Sunday, March 16, 2025, to facilitate essential engineering and maintenance work.

Matunga-Mulund Up and Down Fast Lines (11:15 AM to 3:45 PM):

• Down Fast Line Services: Trains departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) between 10:56 AM and 3:10 PM will be diverted to the Down Slow line at Matunga station. These trains will halt at all scheduled stations between Matunga and Mulund, resulting in an approximate delay of 15 minutes. Beyond Thane, trains will revert to the Down Fast line at Mulund station.
  
• Up Fast Line Services: Trains departing from Thane between 11:03 AM and 3:38 PM will switch to the Up Slow line at Mulund station, stopping at all scheduled stations between Mulund and Matunga. They will return to the Up Fast line at Matunga, with an expected delay of 15 minutes.

CSMT-Chunabhatti/Bandra Up and Down Harbour Lines (11:10 AM to 4:40 PM):

• Down Harbour Line Services: Trains to Vashi, Belapur, and Panvel departing from CSMT between 11:16 AM and 4:47 PM, and those to Bandra/Goregaon departing between 10:48 AM and 4:43 PM, will be cancelled.
  
• Up Harbour Line Services: Trains from Panvel, Belapur, and Vashi to CSMT departing between 9:53 AM and 3:20 PM, and those from Goregaon/Bandra to CSMT departing between 10:45 AM and 5:13 PM, will also be cancelled.

To assist commuters during this period, special services will operate between Panvel and Kurla. Additionally, Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via the Main Line and Western Line stations between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and bear with the temporary inconvenience caused by these maintenance activities.
