Finally: Mobile Networks to be Available in Underground Aqua Line

Mumbai- After months of wait, moblie networks will now finally be available in the underground route of Mumbai Metro Aqua Line. Previously, commuters were without any mobile network for a major strech of the route, disconnecting them from the internet. Many commuters listen to songs, podcasts, watch movies or play games during their commute to kill some time. With the absence of any network, commuters were left with no means of recreation. And in a world dominated by the internet, one could imagine how it feels for those who travel through the line everyday.

Several Vodafone users have reported that they were able to access the internet on Wednesday, and more operators will become operational soon, a MMRC official confirmed. The rollout will begin in phases. There was no infrastructure in place for the networks to be available uninterrupted and a strife between the MMRC and telecom operators only delayed it more.
