Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar resolve their defamation case , poses together
Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar have been fighting a legal battle since the year 2020. The legal war between the two of them had started five years ago in the courtroom, Actor-MP Kangana Ranaut and lyricist Javed Akhtar have reached a mutual and happy settlement in their defamation suits against each other. Kangana Ranaut posted an update for her fans along with a picture of them posing together. The fans seemed shock to see them together after years. She stated” today Javed Ji and I have resolved our legal matter (defamation case ) through mediation, in the mediation Javed ji has been very kind and gracious, he also agreed to write songs for my next directorial. She hinted that they will work together in future too.
What was all the fuss about ?
The legal war between the two began with an interview given to a ews channel by Kangana back in the year 2020 after the death of actor Sushant singh Rajput. Among other statements, Kangana had claimed that Javed Akhtar had asked her to apologise to co-star Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik Roshan had filed a lawsuit against her back in the year 2016 for seeking an apology after the public spat over a statement on their alleged relationship.
Kangana Ranaut revealed , ” Once Javed Akhtar called me to his house and told me Rakesh Roshan and his family are very big people. If you don’t apologise to the, you will have nowhere to go, They will put you in jail, and eventually, the only path would be that of destruction.. you will commit suicide. These were his words. He shouted and yelled at me. I was shaking in his house,” Kangana had told this to the news channel. After this outrageous statement given by Kangana , Javed Akhtar had filed a defamation case against her stating ” Whatever Kangana said in the interview is a lie and nothing but a lie.’ He furtherly added ,’ I had told her about the agenda of the meeting on call. Didnt call her to discuss the weather,political situation or America election in 2016″. He stated that he did not know Kangana personally and he had always liked her as an actor, but in the meeting he changed the topic once he realised that she was not going to listen to him. Hence, both of them had filed defamation case on each other which hence today got resolved.
