Prices remained nearly uniform across several major cities. Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala and Pune quoted identical rates of ₹15,236 per gram for 24-carat gold and ₹13,966 for 22-carat gold. Chennai continued to command the highest rates in the country, with 24-carat gold priced at ₹15,410 per gram. In Delhi, the rate for 24-carat gold was ₹15,251 per gram. Slight variations were observed in Vadodara and Ahmedabad at ₹15,241 per gram for 24-carat.

These small differences across cities are primarily due to local taxes, transportation costs and regional demand patterns rather than any significant market shift. The Indian Express reported these rates based on Good Returns data.
