Mumbai prepares to welcome back its most celebrated cultural extravaganza: the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2026! Scheduled from January 31 to February 8, the city’s historic precinct will buzz with creative energy as artists, performers, and audiences gather for nine days of artistic expression.
The festival’s 26th edition carries the theme ‘Ahead of the Curve’, highlighting bold innovation and imaginative exploration in art with a future-forward vision.

Among the festival’s standout attractions is its food segment, titled ‘A Movable Feast.’ Curated by Romi Purkayastha, this culinary experience spans iconic locations including the International YWCA, Taj Mahal Hotel, and popular local eateries. The journey celebrates crossing borders and traditions through flavour.
Drawing inspiration from Hemingway’s Parisian memoir, the food events offer festivalgoers a chance to discover global tastes and communal dining as art in movement. From street food favourites to gourmet creations, every dish narrates tales of heritage, sustainability, and Mumbai’s dynamic food culture. The programme features immersive tastings, chef pop-ups, and interactive workshops, honouring food as both nostalgia and exploration.
