Mumbai : Jain monk Namravallabh has been forced to go to the world on Saturday following allegations surfaced against him. It has been said that since he is ill, this seems to be an attempt to quell the entire controversy for the time being by asking him to return to the world temporarily. After the allegations, a large number of devotees gathered at the Derasar on Saturday.
According to sources, the incident took place on Saturday at the Devkaran Jagvallabh Parshwanath Sangh in Malad East. Many Jain devotees from Ahmedabad, Surat, Nashik and Mumbai reached the temple. Following serious allegations, the demand to send Muni Namravallabh back to the world gained momentum, which led to a huge uproar in the Sangh,
Acharya Darshanvallabh, the guru of Muni Namravallabh, tried to mediate and at one point he became aggressive. It is said that he even got angry with one of the disciples. At that time, besides Acharya Darshanvallabh, Acharya Jagavallabh, Muni Namravallabh and Muni Charitryavallabh alias Harshavallabh were also present. After a three-hour battle, the matter was settled when Namravallabh agreed to return to the world. In the evening, Muni Namravallabh’s father Rakesh R. Shah (Panditji) came from Nashik to Malad in a car and took his son.
Serious allegations have been made against Muni Namravallabh regarding financial dealings and women. Apart from this, there were also allegations of eating outside food and consuming tubers. It is said that he was once ordered to stay with another guru, but from there, within a week or so, he returned to his guru Darshanvallabh. Earlier, allegations were made against him in many places including Ahmedabad, Nadiad, Vansda, Nagpur.
According to sources, in November last year, Gachhadhipati Rajendrasuri was also made aware of the details. However, a letter has been made viral to suppress this controversy. This letter has been written to the father of Muni Namravallabh. The letter mentions that Namravallabh has been suffering from fistula for the last two years and this problem is gradually increasing. The letter informs that if there is any obstacle in the treatment due to the limitations of ascetic life, he is being sent back to the world for treatment.
Namravallabh was a sage of the Bhuvanbhanusuri community. The Gachchadhipati of this community, Acharya Rajendrasuri Maharaj, spoke on the phone through a servant, but refused to say anything about the incident of Namravallabh Muni. There was no reply to the message from him either. There was no reply to the message from Namravallabh’s guru, Acharya Darshanvallabh Maharaj either.
