Eyewitnesses against Aditya Thackeray, claims lawyer

Disha Salian, a former manager of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 8 2020, after falling from a high-rise building in Mumbai. Police back then had registered an Accidental Death Report case. After her death, the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra flat. CBI had taken over the case of the actor while Disha’s death is being inspected by an SIT constituted by the government in 2023.
Recently, the case of Disha Salian’s case has again come in light after her father had accused the political member Aditya Thackeray for the death. Disha’s father claimed that on June 8 his daughter organised a party at her home that was attended by the politician and other actors like Sooraj Pancholi and Dino Morea. The plea sought the registration of an FIR against Thackeray, who had clearly denied the claims.
The father’s lawyer expressed doubts over the probe by the SIT, which is yet to submit its report, which indicated that Fadnavis was not being briefed properly by the officers. The lawyer stated, ” We trust Devendra Fadnavis but not the SIT. We feel the officers are not informing Fadnavis properly. What is the CBI doing in the Sushant Singh Rajput Case? Why is there no chargesheet? the advocate furtherly said that Thackeray had intervened in the case in the 2023 and claimed that the CBI had investigated the politician and gave him a clean chit.”We have submitted an application requesting action be taken against Thackeray for perjury, as the CBI has never investigated the case,
However, the lawyer emphasized that Disha’s family has “full trust” in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to ensure they receive justice, also pointed out that the SIT consists of junior officers and questioned whether they would take action against senior police officials, labeling the SIT as ineffective. “There are individuals within the administration causing issues,” he added. In response, Thackeray dismissed the allegations, stating that they were part of a BJP effort to damage his reputation. “This has been happening for the past five years. I will address it in court, as the matter is now before the judiciary,” said the Worli MLA on Thursday.
