Champions Trophy Final on the Line: Virat Kohli’s Injury Raises Concerns

The Indian Batsman Virat Kohli has suffered a minor injury while practising during a net session at the ICC Academy in Dubai, according to the report.

Virat kohli was reportedly stuck in his knee while facing a fast bowler in the nets, casuing the session to be stopped immediately , it is said that kohli was reportedly immediately attended to by India’s physiotherapists, who applied a spray and wrapped the affected area. Virat kolhi felt slight pain after the injury,but remained on the ground and watched the rest of the training session, showcasing that the injury may not affect the veteran batsman’s chances of playing in the Champions trophy final.

The report later mentioned that the Indian coaching staff reassured that the injury was not severe, and the experienced batsman was expected to be fit for the semi-final of the Champions Trophy.India and New Zealand will face off in the Champions Trophy final on Sunday. India, having played all their matches in Dubai, remain unbeaten in the tournament, while New Zealand have only suffered one loss, which was to India at the same venue.

Kohli is currently ranked just behind Chris Gayle in the all-time Champions Trophy standings, with 746 runs to Gayle’s 791. The 36-year-old opener is widely considered one of the greatest ODI players, known for his remarkable ability to chase down targets with a level of precision often likened to that of a computer.
