BMW Crash on Coastal Road: 24-Year-Old Driver Taken into Custody, No Injuries

Mumbai : A 24 year old resident of Juhu, was booked for rash driving after he lost the control over the vehicle of his speeding BMW and it furtherly crashed it into the barriers on the Mumbai Coastal Road on Worli on Sunday.

The Worli police on Monday booked the 24 year old driver of a BMW, named Rishabh Aneja for the negligence and dangerous driving and endangering the life and safety of others after a video of the rash driving has circulated over the social media at Coastal Road. The car was seen speeding on the coastal road from South to Northbound. The car overtook a vehicle and went at a high speed. When the 26- year old driver applied brakes, the car jumped to another lane in the same carriageway and dashed against the rail of the coastal road, getting severely damaged.

The 26 year old stated the police that he lost the control of his car while overtaking an SUV. When he thought his car was going to crash into the divider, trying to save himself he accidentally pulled more towards the left and , it overwent to the side barriers and crashed into it.
