Nashik: In a significant development in the ongoing investigation against self-styled godman and astrologer Ashok Kharat, a video has surfaced on social media showing the accused in a state of physical and emotional distress. According to a report by the Free Press Journal, Kharat was seen limping and breaking down into tears following an intensive interrogation session by the Nashik police.
The footage, which has since gone viral, captures a starkly different image of the man who once projected an aura of spiritual authority. In the clips, a visibly weakened Kharat is heard stating, “I have no energy left in me,” as he struggles to walk after hours of questioning.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by Tejaswini Satpute, has been conducting a rigorous probe into multiple allegations leveled against the astrologer. Reports indicate that Kharat has undergone three consecutive days of questioning, including a marathon seven-hour session on Saturday. The investigation, as highlighted by TV9 Marathi, focuses on serious charges involving sexual exploitation, financial irregularities, and property disputes.
Currently, three separate cases have been registered against Kharat. One of the most harrowing complaints involves a woman who alleged she was assaulted while pregnant. Another complainant at the Sarkarwada Police Station accused him of exploitation under the guise of performing religious rituals.
Law enforcement officials noted that Kharat appeared to crumble under the mounting pressure of the evidence and testimonies being gathered. As the SIT continues to record statements from additional women coming forward, authorities suggest that further legal action is imminent. The contrast between Kharat’s former claims of supernatural power and his current vulnerable state has sparked widespread discussion across social media platforms.
