Amitabh Bachchan Among Top Tax-Paying Celebs with ₹120 Crore Tax Payment in FY 2024-25

At 82, Amitabh Bachchan continues to dominate Indian cinema while setting an example off-screen as well. A recent report reveals that his earnings for the financial year 2024-25 reached ₹350 crore, on which he paid an impressive ₹120 crore in taxes. His income streams include blockbuster films, lucrative endorsement deals, and hosting the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.

A source told Pinkvilla that Amitabh remains in high demand not only for his acting prowess but also for his appeal as a trusted television host. The report noted that his ₹350 crore earnings place him among the highest-earning individuals in the film industry. Notably, he paid his final advance tax installment of ₹52.50 crore on March 15, 2025.

“He is a role model for all Indians, consistently ensuring that his taxes are paid on time,” the source added, highlighting Amitabh’s commitment as he gears up for several exciting projects in 2025.

Currently, the veteran star is hosting KBC 16. On the film front, he recently appeared in Vettaiyan, where he shared the screen with Rajinikanth after a three-decade gap, and in Kalki 2898 AD. Looking ahead, audiences can expect him in Ribhu Dasgupta’s courtroom drama Section 84 and a sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin.
