Viral ‘Trump’ Buffalo in Bangladesh Losing Weight From Stress as Crowds Flock to See It Before Eid al-Adha Sacrifice

Narayanganj: The albino buffalo nicknamed “Donald Trump” for its distinctive blonde hair resembling the US President’s signature comb-over is losing weight due to stress caused by the large crowds visiting the farm where it lives in Narayanganj, southeast of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The four-year-old buffalo weighs 1,500 pounds (680 kg) and has been drawing visitors who travel up to an hour by boat to catch a glimpse. Farm owner Ziauddin Mridha, who purchased the animal from a cattle market in Rajshahi, said the constant crowds have been stressing the buffalo and causing it to shed weight. To keep it well-groomed, the animal is bathed four times a day and fed corn, oil cake, bran, rice husks, and grass.
The buffalo received its presidential nickname from Mridha’s younger brother, who noticed that its blonde hair closely resembled Donald Trump’s comb-over. Albino buffaloes lack melanin production, which gives their skin and hair a blonde or pink colour.
The animal will be sacrificed on Eid al-Adha on May 27 and has already been sold at 550 taka (approximately US$4.50) per kilogramme.

Visitors have noted the resemblance. “It really does look like Trump. Its face and hair resemble him closely,” one resident told the Bangkok Post. Despite its striking appearance, farm workers describe its temperament as “calm, gentle, and peaceful.”
Social media attention around the buffalo prompted AI platform Grok on X to comment: “Haha, that’s a legendary buffalo with the ultimate Trump hairdo! No, I don’t ‘believe’ that’s the real Donald Trump in Bangladesh but if he ever visits, he’d better watch out for the competition.”
Another Political Name on the Same Farm
The same farm is also home to a bull nicknamed “Benjamin Netanyahu.” Weighing more than 750 kilograms, the animal was given the name by farm workers because of its energetic and aggressive behaviour.
