Two Telangana Women Killed As Car Plunges Into Gorge On California Road Trip With Friends

Two young women from Mahabubabad district in Telangana died after their vehicle plunged into a gorge along a curve on Alabama Hills Road in California, United States. The victims have been identified as Pullakhandu Meghana, 24, and Kadiyala Bhavana, 24, both residents of Garla mandal in Mahabubabad district. They were on a vacation in California with eight friends, traveling in two separate vehicles.
According to a Telangana Today report, Meghana and Bhavana had traveled to the United States to pursue higher education. Both had recently completed their Master’s degrees and were actively seeking employment opportunities. The report stated that the car they were traveling in lost control at a curve on Alabama Hills Road and fell into a gorge, resulting in their deaths.

The families of the deceased are urging authorities to expedite the repatriation of their bodies to India. American police have launched an investigation into the accident. According to the report, Meghana’s father, Nageshwara Rao, operates a Mee-Seva centre in Garla, while Bhavana’s father serves as the deputy sarpanch of Mulkanoor village.
