Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan Rejected By Israel, Says No Pullout Until Hamas Disarmament

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated today that Israel has rejected US President Donald Trump’s 15-point peace plan for Gaza and would not leave until Hamas completely disarms. “The 15-point document is rejected by Israel.

At a cabinet meeting, Netanyahu stated, “The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will not undertake any withdrawal until Hamas is truly disarmed and will continue to thwart threats against our forces and our citizens.”

Yesterday, Hamas called for pressure on Israel and declared that it was prepared to move forward with the US-backed plan. Hamas told Trump’s Board of Peace that it supported the most recent phase of the proposal, which called for the operatives to transfer weaponry to a newly constituted Palestinian governmental body in the war-torn region.

“Hamas and other factions have confirmed to mediators their readiness to begin implementing the agreement and move to the second phase, provided it receives Israeli approval and that Israel begins implementing the agreement,” a Hamas representative told news agency AFP on Saturday.

A few days prior, the United Arab Emirates and seven other countries with a majority of Muslims released a harsh joint statement denouncing Israel’s military operation in the Gaza Strip and claiming that it posed a threat to Trump’s peace plan to resolve the war.
