Trump Says US Will End Iran War In 2–3 Weeks, Signals Withdrawal

Washington: US President Donald Trump has indicated that the United States may soon bring its military campaign against Iran to a close, suggesting that American forces could withdraw within the next two to three weeks, according to a report by The Times of India

Speaking about the ongoing conflict, Trump stated that the US would be “leaving very soon,” underscoring his administration’s expectation that the war could conclude in a short timeframe. His remarks mark one of the clearest signals yet that Washington is preparing to wind down operations after weeks of sustained military engagement in the region.

The conflict, which has significantly impacted the Middle East and global energy markets, has entered an advanced stage, with US officials suggesting that key objectives have largely been achieved. Trump reiterated that a formal agreement with Iran is not necessary for the United States to end its involvement, indicating a shift away from diplomacy as a prerequisite for disengagement.

According to the report, the US administration believes its primary goal preventing Iran from advancing its nuclear capabilities has been met. This assessment appears to be shaping the decision to reduce military operations and move towards an exit strategy.

Trump’s comments also reflect a broader effort to avoid a prolonged conflict, with officials maintaining that the campaign was never intended to extend indefinitely. While military operations have continued across parts of the region, the latest statements point to a possible de-escalation in the coming weeks.

The announcement could have far-reaching implications for global geopolitics and energy markets, particularly as tensions in the Gulf remain high. However, it also signals a potential turning point in the conflict, with the United States preparing to scale back its presence and conclude its involvement.
