Trump took to Truth Social on Sunday night with a set of AI-generated images that put him at the center of an extraterrestrial universe. In one, he walks alongside a chained alien the figure resembling a naked human body topped with an oversized, otherworldly head. A second image places him at a desk fitted with a kill switch, asteroids and lasers colliding in the background. A third shows satellites exchanging fire in orbit, the Space Force logo and American flag visible, with Trump again at a round sci-fi console.
The posts are consistent with weeks of public positioning on alien disclosure. On February 19, 2026, Trump directed Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and other agency heads to begin identifying and declassifying government records. “Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs)…” he said at the time, adding that the public deserves transparency and truth.
The first batch landed on May 8 160-plus files broken down as 82 from the Department of War, 56 from the FBI, 12 from NASA, and 8 from the State Department, along with 28 videos and 14 images. Two days before the release, Trump told reporters: “I think some of it’s going to be very interesting to people.” Sources close to the president say he has a prepared speech confirming extraterrestrials are real.
Online, the images drew a mix of mockery and frustration. “The alien’s abs are out of this world, that’s for sure,” one user wrote. Another: “And his doctor said he had the highest IQ ever seen. Go figure!” A third asked, “Perhaps the aliens can help open the strait he closed?!” One user was blunter: “Anything to distract from the Epstein files and his war in Iran.”

Space Force runs as a separate thread through the posts. Established in December 2019 during Trump’s first term, it has since become an active tactical asset in the ongoing military conflict with Iran. Trump said in May 2026 that Space Force is being used to monitor Iran’s underground nuclear stockpiles and enriched uranium sites. Top commanders say operations including Epic Fury provided the intelligence groundwork for early strikes on Iran.
