Trump Administration Considers Travel Ban on 41 Countries | Full List

The Trump administration is reportedly mulling over new travel restrictions on citizens from 41 countries, according to an internal memo obtained by Reuters. A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that the proposed list is temporary and subject to change, as it has not yet been approved by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The memo categorizes the 41 countries into three groups: those facing a complete visa suspension, those subject to a partial visa suspension affecting tourists, students, and select other visas, and a third group that could see partial suspensions if they fail to address specific “deficiencies.”

This potential move recalls the travel ban imposed by former President Donald Trump during his first term, which targeted seven predominantly Islamic countries a policy that was upheld by the Supreme Court at the time. However, the order was later revoked by President Biden, who described it as a blemish on the nation’s “political conscience.”

Earlier this year, on January 20, Trump signed an executive order mandating stricter security vetting for foreign nationals seeking entry into the U.S., a measure aimed at identifying potential national security threats.
