Following the summit, Modi will travel to Brasília for a state visit, the first by an Indian Prime Minister in nearly six decades. The leaders are expected to align on shared priorities of the Global South, reinforcing bilateral ties that trace back to India’s establishment of its first Latin American embassy in Brazil in 1948, as noted by India’s Ambassador to Brazil, Dinesh Bhatia.

Modi’s tour will conclude in Namibia on July 8-9, where he will meet President Dr. Nangolo Mbumba to explore new avenues for collaboration. The Prime Minister emphasized that the visit will reinforce India’s bonds with African, Latin American, and Caribbean nations while enhancing engagement in multilateral platforms like BRICS, the African Union, ECOWAS, and CARICOM.
