MI-17 Chopper Crashes in Pakistan, All Personnel Dead

Muzzafarabad – A Mi-17 helicopter carrying few personnel crashed in the city of Muzzafarabad in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir on Wednesday. ISPR, the media wing of Pakistan Millitary confirmed that there were no survivors.

Inquiry initiated

The ISPR has announced that prima facie the reason for the crash is technical fault, and no human error was recorded. “All personnel on board embraced martyrdom. There were no survivors,” the ISPR said in a statement.

The number of personnel on board has not yet been released and an inquiry into the crash has already been initiated.

Pakistan’s Field Marshal, Asim Munir “expressed deep grief over the tragic loss of precious lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families”, the military said.

This crash is another addition to Pakistan’s growing problems in the border regions, already plagued by much violence
