“Overtake The World” Kim Jong-un Calls For More Nuclear Weapons

According to the KCNA state news agency on Tuesday, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un stated that the best option to deal with an unexpected and complex global security scenario is to exercise the nation’s status as a nuclear weapons state.

Kim addressed the governing Workers’ Party’s Central Committee, according to KCNA. He demanded a major increase in the nation’s nuclear weapons, media sources indicate that he has instructed officials to bolster defense capabilities “with a goal of overtaking the world.”

The summit evaluated plans from a critical party convention in February and examined North Korea’s development in the first half of this year.

The summit also vowed to accelerate the building of a 10,000-ton-class strategic guided missile cruiser, a project authorized by the party earlier this year.

Pyongyang reaffirmed its hostility toward South Korea, labeling it the country’s biggest enemy state. It also denounced the military cooperation between Seoul and Washington, especially the Nuclear Consultative Group (NCG), which it defined as “a nuclear war body whose purpose is to attack North Korea.”

The paper stated the organization “drew detailed nuclear war scenarios, including war mode, sequence of missions, drills and operation element.”

Kim also asked for greater defence along “the southern border” and the establishment of new naval bases and military infrastructure.
