Kathmandu : The Nepal Army announced that the nationwide curfew will remain in effect until 5 pm (1700 hrs) on Bhadra 25, 2082, and will continue from 6 am (0600 hrs) on Bhadra 26, with further updates to follow based on the evolving situation. The army expressed gratitude to citizens for supporting efforts to maintain peace and security during the ongoing crisis, while lamenting the loss of life and property amid the protests.
It warned that lawless individuals and groups continue to infiltrate the movement, carrying out acts of vandalism, arson, looting, violent attacks, and attempted sexual assaults, and urged everyone to cooperate in curbing criminal activities. The Gen-Z movement has issued a public declaration calling for major political reform in Nepal. It emphasizes that the struggle is for the nation’s future, not tied to any party or individual.

According to an official statement, groups have infiltrated the demonstrations and engaged in vandalism, arson, looting, targeted attacks, and attempted sexual assaults.
The Army stated that such actions would be treated as criminal offences and dealt with strictly. The statement also conveyed condolences for the loss of life and property and urged the public to rely only on verified information. Discussions among stakeholders are ongoing to find a political resolution, the Army said, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
