Pop icon Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have reignited dating speculation after being photographed kissing aboard Perry’s luxurious yacht in Santa Barbara, California. The intimate moment comes despite earlier reports claiming the pair had grown distant following media attention from their dinner date in Montreal.
In the widely circulated images, Perry, dressed in a black swimsuit, is seen passionately kissing a shirtless Trudeau, who sported denim jeans. The two were also spotted hugging, with Trudeau appearing to nuzzle Perry’s cheek. A witness told The Daily Mail they realized it was Trudeau only after spotting a tattoo on his arm during the encounter.
Neither Perry nor Trudeau has commented publicly on the rumors. The duo first drew attention in July 2025 when they enjoyed a private dinner in Montreal, with Trudeau later attending Perry’s Canadian tour performance.
Perry recently split from actor Orlando Bloom in June 2025 after seven years together and six years engaged. The pair remain committed to co-parenting their daughter, Daisy Dove, born in August 2020.
Trudeau separated from his wife, Sophie Grégoire, in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. They share three children Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien.
