4 Killed, Several Injured in Suicide Attack on Sindh Rangers HQ in Karachi

At least four people were killed and three others injured after a suicide bomber reportedly attacked the headquarters of the Sindh Rangers in Karachi, according to initial reports from Pakistan. The attacker detonated explosives targeting the compound, while other members of the group opened fire on security personnel, triggering an intense gunfight.

Sources said the first explosion was powerful, followed by two smaller blasts, with the gunfight reportedly continuing for nearly half an hour.

According to local media reports, the attack took place on a major road in Gulistan-i-Jauhar, which connects several universities and leads to Pakistan’s Meteorological Department. Police and rescue teams rushed to the area following reports of the explosion and subsequent gunfire, Dawn reported. Authorities sealed off the neighbourhood as security personnel launched an operation to secure the area.
