Aerial videos shared online depicted colossal flames piercing the darkness from what witnesses identified as the oil depot vicinity, transforming the urban horizon into a surreal canvas of orange hues. Separate clips from Tehran’s northern outskirts, near a key route to the affluent Lavasan enclave, revealed a raging inferno at yet another fuel reservoir.
The Israeli Defense Forces confirmed the operation, stating it neutralized several fuel depots and power installations in Tehran that supported Iran’s military apparatus. Officials labeled the action a “major blow” designed to erode the regime’s defensive capabilities. Iran’s Oil Ministry corroborated the damage, reporting attacks on storage units in both Tehran and Alborz provinces, including a facility in Karaj to the west. Notably, the Shahran depot in northwest Tehran previously damaged by Israel in June suffered renewed devastation, with a towering vortex of black smoke ascending overhead.
