Israel Strikes Beirut Hotel, Kills 4 IRGC Quds Force Commanders In Targeted Operation

The Israeli Defense Forces carried out a precision strike on a hotel room in central Beirut late Sunday night, killing at least four senior commanders of the Lebanese Corps of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force, the IDF announced.

The targeted commanders were staying at the Ramada Hotel in Beirut’s Raouche district when the strike hit after midnight. Lebanese authorities confirmed four deaths and ten injuries in the attack, with security forces subsequently sealing off the area.

According to the IDF, the killed commanders “operated to advance terror attacks against Israel and its civilians, while also operating for the IRGC in Iran.” The military said it took precautionary steps ahead of the strike to minimize civilian harm, including the deployment of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.

The IDF spokesperson’s office stated: “The IDF conducted a precise strike targeting key commanders in the IRGC’s Quds Force’s Lebanon Corps who operated in Beirut. The commanders of the Quds Force’s Lebanon Corps operated to advance terror attacks against the state of Israel and its civilians, while operating simultaneously for the IRGC in Iran.”

The IDF further characterized the IRGC as an organization that “operates systemically in the heart of the civilian population in Iran and Lebanon, cynically exploiting the civilian population as human shields to advance terror attacks.” It described the Lebanon Corps as the organizational link between Hezbollah and the Iranian terror regime, responsible for supporting Hezbollah’s force-building and maintaining direct communication between senior IRGC personnel and Hezbollah leadership.

The Ramada Hotel, which had been sheltering displaced civilians fleeing the conflict in southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs, was struck in what marks the first Israeli attack in the heart of the Lebanese capital since Hezbollah began launching strikes against Israel in retaliation for Operation Roaring Lion against Iran. The IDF had earlier announced a fresh “wave of strikes” on Beirut, stating it was targeting the city’s southern suburbs — a known stronghold of the Iranian-backed Hezbollah group.

The Lebanese government, meanwhile, has publicly condemned Hezbollah for its renewed offensive against Israel, accusing the militant group of drawing Lebanon into a broader regional conflict.
