Iran Planning ‘Ocotober 7’ Style Attack On Israel: Report

Israeli intelligence assessments indicate that Iran is actively organizing an all-encompassing, multi-front October 7-style strike on Israel using its regional proxy networks. According to the Jerusalem Post, the Islamic Republic intends to unite its forces, often referred to as the “Axis of Resistance”, with Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, Hamas, and pro-Iranian militias in Iraq and Syria in a single attack.

Hamas documents taken from the Gaza Strip showed that Hamas commander Yahya Sinwar envisioned a greater regional conflict with Hezbollah and Iran to join a larger campaign against Israel, despite the fact that the October 7 attack was carried out without the participation of the other fronts.

Sinwar believed that if Hamas’ initial attack was successful, Iran and Hezbollah would be compelled to launch a full-scale regional battle. But according to public US and Israeli assessments referenced in the study, Iran and Hezbollah were unaware of the specifics of the October 7 strike or the day it would take place.

Instead of launching a major, concurrent onslaught that morning, Hezbollah launched limited strikes in the north as a result of this lack of prior synchronization.

According to Israeli intelligence, the “Axis of Resistance” is attempting to close the coordination holes that were discovered on October 7.

Tehran is planning a coordinated multi-front strategy instead of betting that a localized onslaught will attract other forces. This plan seeks to formalize the multi-front pressure Sinwar had originally envisioned by enabling Hezbollah, the Houthis, and other Iraqi militias to launch simultaneous campaigns from day one.

Israel Defense Forces have also discovered that Hamas and Hezbollah are once again working together with Iran’s assistance to put further pressure on Israel from both the north and the south.

Senior members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), particularly the Quds Force, had lengthy conversations on extending the attack with commanders from Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iraqi militias over conference calls and meetings.

Additionally, Iran is working to rebuild its military capabilities, which were severely harmed in previous confrontations with the United States and Israel.

In addition to the conversations, there has been an improvement in general coordination between the axis’s components, a strengthening of operational and interpersonal links, and documented joint training activities.
