Israel Strikes : 6 Killed In Gaza Hour After Trump Calls For End To Bombardment

Gaza : Israel carried out fresh strikes in Gaza on Saturday, killing six people just hours after US President Donald Trump directed an end to the bombardment. One Israeli strike hit a house in Gaza City, killing four people, while another strike in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, killed two others.
Israeli media later reported that the country’s political leadership had instructed the military to reduce offensive operations in the enclave. The Israeli military chief of staff said in a statement that forces were advancing readiness for the implementation of the first phase of Trump’s plan, though the statement did not clarify whether military activity in Gaza would be reduced. Israel says 48 hostages remain, including 20 who are alive. Gaza health authorities say Israel’s military campaign has killed more than 66,000 people, mostly civilians.
