Curasica : In a rural part of Colombia’s northeast, a small passenger aircraft with 15 people on board got killed as per the officials. The tragedy took place in Norte de Santander province.
The authorities were alerted after Satena, the state owned airline operating flight informed the local officials in the village of Curasica. Till the rescue team went onto the spot no survivors survived.

The aircraft HK4709, had taken off from Cucuta city at 11.42 am local time for Ocana place which was at a distance of 40 minutes. Satena informed that just minutes after the departure the aircraft lost its contact with air traffic control.
13 passengers on board along with 2 crew members were present at that plane. Renowned local representative of victims of Colombia’s internal armed conflict, Diogenes Quintero was also onboard. Some of his team members were also present in that plane.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro took to social media and posted on X saying he is deeply sorry for these deaths. He extends his full solidarity to the deceased family members and prays for their peaceful soul.
