Elon Musk Claims ‘Inevitable War’ Coming In Five Years
New Delhi : Elon Musk is never afraid to speak his mind. The tech billionaire is often seen making unfiltered comments on his social media platform, X, aka Twitter. On X, the tech billionaire replied to a thread that discussed the effect of nuclear deterrence on global governance.
The user wrote, Governments all suck now because nuclear weapons prevent war, or even the credible threat of war, between major powers. So there’s no external/evolutionary/market pressure on governments to not suck. Elon Musk gave a blunt reply. The tech billionaire simply stated that war was going to happen. When might you ask? Well, according to Musk, as soon as 2030. He said, War is inevitable. 5 years, 10 at most.
Perhaps it was just a way for Musk to indicate that soon governments may need to pull up their socks as they face a future crisis. But considering Musk’s influence as a prominent personality and his stint as the mastermind of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under US President Donald Trump, his comment did catch everyone’s attention. Some users on X tried to get an explanation from Grok, the AI chatbot from Musk’s xAI.
Grok wrote, “Elon didn’t specify parties or reasons in that post. From his past statements, he’s warned of potential civil wars in Europe/UK due to mass migration and identity politics, or global conflicts like US-China over Taiwan, or Ukraine escalation to WW3, citing rising tensions despite nuclear deterrents.” While the original thread and Musk’s subsequent comment avoided pinpointing any single conflict, historical references to tensions involving Taiwan, Ukraine, and internal European issues suggest a range of scenarios that could escalate under current conditions.
