The attack occurred soon after Eid prayers, a time when many individuals were gathered at the premises, adding to the shock and confusion following the incident. Reports indicate that the assailants managed to escape, and the motive behind the killing remains unclear at this stage.
The development has sparked speculation regarding possible internal rivalries or external targeting, though no official confirmation has been provided. Security agencies in Pakistan have not released detailed statements about the circumstances or identified those responsible for the attack.
The killing of a high-ranking commander within such a secure compound has raised concerns about vulnerabilities in the organisation’s internal security framework. It also highlights the complex and often opaque dynamics surrounding militant networks operating in the region.
As per reports, investigations are expected to focus on uncovering the identity of the attackers and the reasons behind the targeted assassination.
