Anonymous Artists Erect 12-Foot Trump-Epstein ‘Titanic’ Statue On Washington’s National Mall

A nearly 12-foot satirical statue depicting US President Donald Trump and late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein appeared on Washington’s National Mall on Tuesday, March 10, drawing curious onlookers including tourists, joggers, and federal workers in the shadow of the Washington Monument.
The spray-painted gold installation recreates the iconic bow scene from the 1997 blockbuster Titanic, with Trump positioned behind Epstein on a replica ship mirroring the memorable moment between characters Jack and Rose. Both figures face toward the Washington Monument.

A plaque mounted on the statue described it as a “tragic love story,” reading: “The tragic love story between Jack and Rose was built on luxurious travel, raucous parties, and secret nude sketches. This monument honors the bond between Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, a friendship seemingly built on luxurious travel, raucous parties and secret nude sketches.”

Banners displayed near the statue carried the slogan “Make America Safe Again,” alongside a modified Justice Department insignia with the word “Justice” redacted — an apparent reference to the heavily redacted Epstein-related files released by the DoJ.

The installation is attributed to an anonymous collective known as “The Secret Handshake,” and is reportedly their third Trump-Epstein-themed artwork. The group previously erected a spray-painted bronze statue titled “Best Friends Forever,” which depicted the two men holding hands.

Trump is known to have maintained a friendship with Epstein, who died in federal custody in 2019, before the two reportedly had a falling out in the mid-2000s. The president has consistently denied any knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities.

The White House swiftly condemned the artwork. Spokesperson Abigail Jackson called it politically motivated, stating, “When will these wealthy Democrat donors create sculptures of Democrats … who continued to solicit money and meetings from Epstein after he was convicted as a sex offender?”
