Vijay’s Astrologer, Radhan Pandit Vettrivel, Gets Key Post In His Government; Read About Him In Details

Chennai : After repeated rejections by the Tamil Nadu Governor, Vijay’s claim to form the government was finally accepted. He had initially fixed May 10 at 3:45 pm for his much-anticipated swearing-in ceremony, but it was later advanced to 10 am on the advice of his personal astrologer Radhan Pandit Vettrivel, citing an auspicious “muhurat”.

Now, after Vijay’s assumption of office as Chief Minister, Vettrivel’s fortunes have also risen, with his elevation as Officer on Special Duty in the Tamil Nadu government. On Tuesday, Radhan Pandit Vettrivel was appointed as Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister (Political). A prominent spiritual mentor in Tamil Nadu, Vettrivel had already predicted Vijay’s victory well before the elections.

For a man who has been in the field of astrology for four decades and has predicted the fortunes of several political bigwigs, whether he foresaw his own entry into politics is not yet known. In fact, close observers in Tamil Nadu politics said that former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa often made major decisions after consulting Vettrivel. Known as Pandit Vettrivel, he later changed his name to Radhan Pandit after moving to Delhi in 2008.

Vijay was sworn-in as the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister on May 10 in a colourful ceremony, ushering in the first non-DMK, non-AIADMK government in the southern state in 60 years with promise of transparent governance and an assertion that he will be the sole power centre in the state. According to the order, government-run liquor outlets located within a 500-meter radius of places of worship, educational institutions, and bus stations, within two weeks will be shut down.
