New Delhi: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday adopted a resolution congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi after he became the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India to hold office continuously. The milestone came as PM Modi completed 4,399 consecutive days in office.

Responding to the occasion, PM Modi described public service as the true measure of good governance. Sharing a Sanskrit shloka on X, he spoke about humility, commitment and dedication as essential qualities for earning the trust of citizens.
